At the Family Fertility Clinic we specialize in providing treatments and education to enhance fertility or treat infertility with a variety of treatments including Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, dietary counselling and Naturopathy.  Our services are used by both men and women and by couples trying to conceive naturally and those using Assisted Reproductive Techniques.  Our clinic also assists with pregnancy related issues, labour and post-partum complaints.

Women

Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART)

Our practitioner’s treatments complement all forms of Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART) including (IVF, Clomid, IUI, ICSI, superovulation etc.) Our treatments will enhance your ability to conceive using ART and minimize side effects commonly experienced with these treatments.

Our goals in supporting patients receiving these treatments are to:

  • Increase ovarian responsiveness and reduce FSH level if elevated
  • Increase estrogen levels if they are low
  • Enhance follicle and egg quality

Pregnancy

Practitioners at our clinic are specially trained in the treatment of unwanted symptoms during pregnancy. Unlike modern pharmaceuticals, these techniques are safe and non-invasive. Many of these techniques have been used for thousands of years to alleviate conditions associated with pregnancy including:

Labour

Acupuncture and therapeutic massage provide physical and emotional support leading up to labour and birth. These modalities can increase your sense of satisfaction with the birthing experience and enhance your overall well-being after birth.

Acupuncture is particularly beneficial in stimulating cervical ripening to reduce the liklihood of going beyond 40 weeks term and has been shown in clinical studies to shorten labour.

In addition acupuncture can:

  • Help induce labour when past due date
  • Reduce cesarean rates
  • Minimize need for oxytocin
  • Reduce need for pain medication or epidurals
  • Treat anxiety
  • Turn posterior or breech presentation

Post partum

Our various forms of treatment at our clinic can help to replenish and rebalance your body after birth. If post partum symptoms persist or develop after the initial recovery period then our therapist will develop effective strategies to address these concerns. What Is It
 
The manipulation of soft tissue and joints that ranges from gentle, relaxing massage to deep tissue work. Great therapy for moms-to-be and infants.
