Garfield graduated from Mcgill University with a MSc. in Physiotherapy in 2011, received BSc. Physiotherapy in 2009 and holds a Diploma of Acupuncture from Beijing China 2004. Since graduating, he continues post-graduate courses including Spinal and Peripheral Manipulation, Manual Muscle Mobilization, Fascial Manipulation, Rehabilitation Pilates and Sport Taping to name a few.

He has provided sport physiotherapy coverage at international level and the Pan am Games. He has worked with athletes and artist of all ages and abilities. His training allows him to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions with a special interest in sports injuries.

Garfield has a professional dance - musical theater background and has performed in Broadway shows like the "Lion King", toured on cruise ships, Vancouver Dance Opera and Movements the Afro-Caribbean dance ensemble. He also competed in diving, volleyball, football and track and field. He also currently involved in crossfit, mix-martial arts, squash and cycling.

His current hospital work allowed him to treat numerous post-surgical patients ranging from post-operative protocols and rehabilitation programs for shoulder, hip and knees arthoplasty. In clinical practice, his treatment philosophy includes using manual therapy to restore joint biomechanics accompanied with muscle retraining and motor control strategies to correct movement dysfunction. Garfield is committed to individualized treatment and develops exercise programs geared toward the level and goals of the patient.
